Packer – Daffodil Foods
Part time packer to undertake activities to support the production of Daffodil Foods’ desserts and other chilled dairy products. Candidates need to work to high levels of hygiene and be prepared to undertake basic training, both on the job and externally, to enable them to work effectively and ensure the food safety, integrity, legality and quality of the company’s products.
Assembly of dessert pots into printed cartons, gluing them in position and keeping up with the speed of the automated line
Assembly of cartons of desserts in to cases and application of the correct case label, sealing and stacking of cases keeping up with the speed of the automated line
Recording vital information on the production and packing records
Cleaning and wash down of all areas
Labelling and stacking products ready for dispatch with the correct paperwork
The ideal candidate:
The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and be prepared to form part of a small team and help to ensure that the production plan is delivered on time and in full. They will need neat, legible handwriting to complete records and the ability to read and follow work instructions consistently without deviation. They should be able lift 10Kg. Packers will need to be nimble and dextrous to keep up with the speed of the packing line, with good hand-eye co-ordination. The hours are flexible, but will be between 9.30am and 2.30pm weekdays for 3 days per week. It may be possible to take all school holidays off.
